Retooling Christian Education and Spiritual Formation in the 21st Century

The East Ohio CEF Chapter invites you to come to the Columbus, Ohio area on October 23 - 24, 2009 for the North Central Regional CEF Conference. Join us in Retooling Christian Education and Spiritual Formation in the 21st Century.   Keynote speaker, Carol Cartmill, Director of Community Life, The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Leawood (Kansas City), Kansas, will address retooling for leadership in the church today during the Friday evening and Saturday morning sessions in her address titled, Equipping Others for the Discipleship Journey. Friday evening will begin with a gathering workship service and dinner. Reflection discussion groups will follow the Friday evening keynote address.
 
On Saturday after the second part of the key note address, each participant will attend their choice of about 20 workshops on a variety of topics covering all age levels of ministry to help you retool and revitalize your ministry in the 21st Century. Workshops will vary in length from one hour to 2 hours. All participants will be able to take the workshop, Developing the Heart and Skill of Leaders given by Carol Cartmill.

            (about 5 miles from Columbus, OH airport, easy access by car I -70 & I-71, m/hotels in the area, shuttles provided for airport to hotel by hotel and to church for those who fly)

Registrants will be sent workshop descriptions to select workshops in the summer of 2009 and hotel information to make your own arrangements at the Spring Hill Suites or Town Place Suites in Gahanna. Room suite rates will be $85 (King) -95 (Double) per night plus tax. Please make your room reservation by early September and no later than September 24.
